LUSH REBRAND

Branding | Packaging| UX/UI

Project Brief

Lush is a well-known natural bath and cosmetics brand known for inventing the infamous bath bomb. I designed a new visual system for Lush including a new logo, packaging system, digital platforms, and marketing strategy.

Direction

Through the rebrand I wanted to modernize Lush and play into their more youthful side. I redesigned all the elements to adhere to their core values of remaining a sustainable company and built ways to increase brand to consumer interaction.

Mark Design

Before

After

In designing the mark I refined the current one through changing the typeface and playing around with the positioning of the letters. I chose to encircle the mark as well to symbolize their most popular product, the bath bomb.

Packaging System

I designed the packing to require less resources by keeping it minimal and primarily black and white with hints of color; to aid the brand in their efforts to being more sustainable. And to allow the colorful products themselves to stand out more.

Digital Presence

Lush has decided to stop advertising on social media due to the negative impacts it has on mental health. I redesigned their feed to reflect this with the message, “Be social without social media”.

With losing a form of customer interaction, I designed a forum page for the website and app to add another form of interaction. Through this forum consumers will learn more about the products, their uses, and tips and tricks to use them.
